Our Philosophy & Approach

Mastery

We’re fortunate to work with some of the top financial advisors and entrepreneurs around, and we have built a firm that works with clients who want to achieve a level of mastery in their business and their lives.  Doing this requires a willingness to do things differently and an awareness that we don’t operate like conventional consultants, coaches or psychotherapists.  We take an integrated approach and you’ll have to as well if you want things to really shift.

We are macro-comprehensive and micro-incisive

What that means is that we start with understanding enough about the big picture to allow us to get really precise on the details that need to be acted on.  That also means that things can feel slow at first.  However, if you’re willing to put the foundation in place, and you are prepared to act on the details, you’ll get to a point where there are no excuses remaining.

No separation between ‘business’ and ‘personal’

We don’t view a separation between ‘business’ and ‘personal’ in our work together.  We’re very aware that people don’t achieve a level of mastery by compartmentalizing their lives.  We’ll call on you to bring all of yourself to this.

Face to Face

As much as possible, we work face to face.  That means we do web video conferencing and we meet in person, if that can be arranged.  For web video you will need a web cam and a good Internet connection (cable instead of wireless).

Preparation, follow-up, and practice

There will be preparation in advance of every meeting, and follow-up action after them.

Change-focused

Our work is focused on change and will require both your willingness and action to change.  For you to get what you are going for, it is imperative that you apply goals and insights to practice in real time and with endurance.  In our meetings, I will hold this standard with you.

Specific to You

Because we work with your business situation and your personal situation, the result that comes out of this will be entirely yours.  Everyone likes to talk about creating an “individualized, unique approach”, but because we build our work together based on who you are and what is showing up for you, we don’t have a choice.
